Mittlerweile sind Martyn Sole und Tom Darbyshire mit ihrer Marke Peaceful Hooligan seit rund 15 Jahren am Start und statten weltweit Stadiongänger jeglicher Fasson aus. Die beiden Briten aus Stoke-on-Trent haben im November 2017 ein weiteres Kapitel ihrer Erfolgsgeschichte begonnen und präsentierten der treuen Kundschaft ihr Sublabel Peaceful Production.
Wir haben eine kleine Lücke in Martyn´s Terminkalender genutzt und uns mit ihm kurz über die Beweggründe, Inspiration und dem Look des neuen Sub Labels unterhalten, das wir in Deutschland natürlich durch die Kollaborationen mit den Kollegen von Dreierhopp her kennen. Gude Martyn, es ist sehr schön dich bei uns zu haben. Stell dich doch bitte kurz selbst vor.
Hi Mark, vielen Dank für das Intro. Mein Name ist Martyn Sole und ich bin der Managing Director von Peaceful Hooligan und Peaceful Production.
Tom und Du habt die Marke Peaceful Hooligan im Jahr 2003 gegründet und die Dinge scheinen für euch sehr gut zu laufen. Wie schaut ihr auf die vergangenen Jahre zurück und wie seht ihr die Entwicklung, die eure Brand genommen hat?
Richtig, wir feiern gerade unser 15 ANNI Jubiläum. Als wir mit unserer Reise begonnen hatten, dachten wir zu keiner Zeit, dass wir fünfzehn Jahre später einmal darüber sprechen werden. Aber ich denke, wir haben eine Marke an den Markt gebracht, die getreu unserer Philosophie aufgebaut wurde und weltweit Unterstützung erhielt und auch den Respekt unserer Kunden erlangt hat.
Wir statten die Leute aus, die wie wir Seite an Seite stehen. Die Entwicklung eines Produkts von einem bedruckten T-Shirt bis hin zur einer vollständigen Kollektion spiegelt unseren Lebensstil wider. Wir nehmen die Bedürfnisse unserer Kunden wahr und das hat sehr dabei geholfen eine immer stärkere Kollektion für jede Saison herauszubringen.
Eine alte Geschäftsweisheit sagt “Stillstand ist Rückschritt”. Und es hat den Anschein, dass ihr genau diese Weisheit befolgt. Nach diversen Projekten und Collabo´s habt ihr damit begonnen ein Sublabel mit dem Namen Peaceful Production by Peaceful Hooligan auf die Beine zu stellen. Martyn, stell uns doch bitte einmal das neue Sublabel vor und erzähl uns etwas zur Idee dahinter.
Peaceful Production wurde von uns eingeführt, weil der Colab Aspekt im Geschäft immens erfolgreich war und durchaus wichtig ist. Deshalb nutzten wir die Möglichkeit ein zweites Sub Label innerhalb unserer Organisation zu entwickeln.
Peaceful Production ist zu unserem zweiten Projekt geworden, das eine neue Dimension in unser Geschäft bringt und die Dinge frisch und natürlich in Bewegung hält.
Wie auf eurer Homepage zu lesen “Peaceful Hooligan ist aus dem Verlangen nach einer Kleidung geboren worden, so wie wir sie selbst tragen und entwerfen, aber in unseren Lieblingsstores zuvor nicht finden konnten“. So, dann erzähl uns doch mal was wir dann von Peaceful Production erwarten können?
Peaceful Production ist eine sehr viel kleinere Kollektion bei der jedes Teil auf 100 Stück limitiert ist. Es hat zwar immer noch unsere unverkennbare Signatur, aber der Gesamteindruck ist cleaner und raffinierter.
Martyn, was ist für dich der große Unterschied zwischen “normalen” Peaceful Hooligan und Peaceful Production Kleidungsstücke? Die Designs und Materialien vielleicht?
Wie bereits gesagt, es ist eine cleanere Kollektion, weniger grafisch orientiert und mehr über die Stoffe und Waschfarben zu definieren.
Alle Teile der neuen Kollektion sind bereits bei euch im Webstore erhältlich. Nenne uns doch bitte das Kleidungsstück, welchs am meisten für Peaceful Production steht.
Das ist die Daunenjacke, die ein wirklich gutes Gewicht hat und extrem warm ist. Außerdem der Slider Kapuzenpulli, der ebenfalls ein gutes Gewicht, aber vor allem einen schönen Wascheffekt hat, der ein leicht gealterten Look hat. Ich trage übrigens beides heute, während wir uns miteinander unterhalten.
Wie werdet ihr das Sublabel zukünftig weiter entwickeln wollen? Oder anders gefragt, arbeitet ihr mit saisonalen Kollektionen oder werden die Sachen immer im Shop aufpoppen, wenn sie fertig sind?
Wir konzentrieren uns aktuell auf Peaceful Production und werden eine Kollektion für Frühjahr/Sommer 2019 vermutlich im Februar fertig produziert haben.

Martyn Sole and Tom Darbyshire founded their brand Peaceful Hooligan 15 years ago and equip world-wide football fans any coleur. The two lads from Stoke-on-Trent started another chapter of their success story in November 2017 and presented their sublabel Peaceful Production to their loyal customers.
We used a small gap in Martyn’s business calendar and talked to him briefly about the motivations, inspiration and the look of the new sub-label, which we know in Germany, of course, through the collaborations with the colleagues from Dreierhopp. Have fun with our short introduction of Peaceful Production by Peaceful Hooligan!

Hi Mark , thanks for the intro My name is Martyn Sole and I am the Managing Director of Peaceful Hooligan and Peaceful Production.
You started your brand Peaceful Hooligan in May 2003 and things went very well for you. Looking back, how do you see the development that the brand has taken?
We are actually 15 Years old and established the brand back in 2003 , so currently celebrating our 15 ANNI.
When we first started out on this journey we never thought for 1 minute that we would be here 15 years later talking about it, but i think what we have brought to the market is a brand that is very true to our philosophy and that has gained the support and respect from all of our customers from all corners of the globe, we make kit for people who are like us, lads standing side by side, so developing the product from a printed tee back in the day to a full collection is a reflection of our lifestyle, and listening to our customers needs has helped us to bring stronger collections out each season.
An old business wisdom said standstill is a step back. And it seems you heed this wisdom. After several projects and collaborations you´ve started your new sublabel with the name Peaceful Production by Peaceful Hooligan. Please introduce the new sublabel and tell us more about the reason why you´ve started it.
Peaceful Production was introduced to our business as a vehicle to handle the colab aspect of the business that has been immensely successful. So on the back of this we needed to explore the opportunity of producing a second sub label within the organization.
Peaceful Production has become our second project, which brings a different dimension to our business and keeps thing fresh and moving forward.
As you say „Peaceful hooligan was born from a desire to create the clothing we wanted to wear but could never quite find in our favourite stores.“ So what can we expect then from the new Peaceful Production?
Peaceful Production is a much smaller collection with each piece limited to 100 of each design , still has our signature on it but the overall look is cleaner more refined.
In your eyes what is the difference between „regular“ Peaceful Hooligan and Peaceful Production garments? Different designs and fabrics?
As mentioned above its a cleaner collection, less graphic orientated and more about fabric, wash colour.
All pieces of the new collection are aleardy in your webstore available. Please pick the signature piece which reflects most the credo of Peaceful Production.
Has to be the Down Jacket , really good weight and extremely warm , also the slider hoody is a good weight and has a nice wash effect that gives it a slight aged feel. Both pieces in my wardrobe as we speak.
How do you will delevop and provide new collections for sublabel, or differently asked, will you create seasonal collection for Peaceful Production or is it a special thing which pop in when ready?
We will concentrate on Peaceful Production for the time being and have a SS19 collection being produced as we speak ready for February 2019.
